Within the framework of the XVI-th “Photographic International
Experience of Monuments, 2009” contest, Republic of Moldova
takes part for the third time consecutively, the contest being
organized by the National Museum of Ethnography and Natural
History in cooperation with the Centru district head’s office of
Chisinau and the Exhibitions Center “Constantin Brancusi”.
At the national stage, the call for applications for participation in
this project was launched in March, through the instrumentality
of the national press: Natura Magazine, Timpul, Jurnal de
Chisinau and Ziarul de Gardă newspapers, as well as through
on-line press: Monitorul Civic, Buletinul Electronic Contact.
As follows, young amateur photographers presented series of
impressive works of Moldova’s cultural, historical and natural
heritage. Among 120 photo images, the jury committee had
the difficult mission of seleccion of the most successful ones in
order to be displayed at the center “Constantin Brancusi” in the
period of 7-13 May.
The seleccion panel, chaired by Foca Iurie and formed by 8
representatives of the: Union of Plastic Artists, National Museum
of Ethnography and Natural History, Centru district head’s office
of Chisinau, designated the two winners of the contest: Sorinela
Renita Saint Cross of Orheiul Vechi (first place) and Adrian
Musteata Winter Landscape at Orheiul Vechi (second place).
The both awarded photographs will be presented during all
international exhibitions of the participant countries, as well
as will be published in the famous catalogue “XIV International
Heritage Photographic Experience 2009”.
We warmly congratulate all the participants within the project,
young artists who had the initiative and, of course, the talent –
to offer such beautiful images of Moldova’s famous historical
and natural heritage.
It is essential for young generation to appreciate, preserve and
keep alive all the riches of the monuments of the Republic of
Moldova.
We are also grateful to the partners of the Photographic
International Experience of Monuments, especially to the
representatives of the Centru district head’s office of Chisinau
– Mr. Tofan , Mr. Jalba, Ms. Liliana Lupascu and Ms. Caraman, to
the head of the Union of Plastic Artists and to the Director of the
Exhibitions Centre “Constantin Brincusi” - for all the effort they
brought for the successful development of the project.
Particularly, we want to thank to the program coordinator M.
Mach Bosch for the spectacular elaboration of the project in all
this years.
