The students of I.E.S. Emilio Alarcos, aged 12 to 18, are
participating in the International Monument Photographic
Experience. We greatly appreciate the invitation to participate
in this project.
Getting to know and understand the richness and variety of the
heritage if any community is one of the fundamental objectives
of many academic subjects, especially in Social Sciences.
Another virtue of the experience is that it teaches students
another way of using their leisure time. At the same time it
helps them develop a sense of aesthetics and feeling while at
the same time helping them to develop as individuals. Through
the project they learn to share their experiences with other
youths from all over the world.
In this way students are educated in the two basic pillars
of knowledge of all reality. On one hand, the awareness of
everything immediate, that which is related to personal
experience. On the other hand we find the things that are
shared on a social level, which, in the context of the project are
share with other young people from different regions in the
world.
In this case, the step from something physical to something
abstract is not only of intellectual capacity. It includes tolerance,
solidarity, peace and love; the four nouns which are the
essence. |
